Had the full system off the lexus a couple of months back, was surprised how much better the car sounded. Considering a full stainless system. Great job, sounds spot on.
I forgot man! What Lexus have you got? What block is it? If you’re gonna keep the car, go stainless for sure!
@@Tyresome it's an f sport 220. The cat and the dpf filter fell out of the exhaust mysteriously a few months back, sounds/runs loads better.

@@Tyresome Oh yeah, it was sealed using an old tin can, gun gum and two hose clips lol. The crazy things we do when we're young (and not quite so young!! 😉). Always remember growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional

Imagine someone in the future restoring the scimitar, and sanding back through all the textured finishes 😂😂 I’m surprised at how far your cans go and how sh** that bed liner is! Rescued by upol. Concentrate your efforts on welding up the supra during the summer months and getting some paint on the bare metal before the winter 🥶 Excellent video as ever!

Bilge blower fans work well for heater motors. They just about fit in situ and will work ok off the existing wiring (switch speed doesn't work that well, kinda on or off). They're about 30 quid for a pair. Seaflo brand I used 130cfm 12v ones , might be good to use bigger ones if they'll fit but 130cfm are ok.

@@Tyresome had to strip out the old alarm from 1980's which was a F&%KER. then it was tracing the important stuff to get her started, it fired up good and sounded silky smooth but there was a vibration at 1500rpm+ and kinda struggled to stay running, i adjusted this & that but finger crossed she'll be good soon.

@@Tyresome fuel/setup i reckon m8. when it's "ticking over" If i put my hand over the carb and restrict it a bit it revs up a few hundred rpm and smoothens out. once I can get it stable it can have an italian tune up lol

seven months is no where near cured for oil based paint, needs to come off or apply compatible paint over top , been following since first handpainted it !

@@Tyresome Oh no!, Ok back in the day, when cool pasteI shades were the trend I painted a vw beetle in vinyl emulsion paint, it actually looked quite good ,with a matte/ semi matte finish it hid a lot of faults, lasted a lot better than imagined it would and that was on a metal bodies car, beauty of it is if you do it over a guide of primer it can be removed ok without contaminating the primer also rollers really nice or could spray it nowadays with electric sprayer. Sorry for long mesage!

Tim knows what he’s doing with the welder and fabrication… keep him topped up with bacon sammies 👍 Happy to donate to the Supra build 😎 I’ve sprayed a Nissan Figaro bonnet with rattle cans in my garden before. Buy yourself a cheap gazebo that has side panels and you’ve got an instant spray booth. Mine worked brilliantly but i did get a tad light headed 😂 Good weather should be around the corner 😎

Well this was very satisfying! I've been checking daily for a new Tyresome video, and I know there's reasons and I wouldn't expect... But I have been eager and I enjoy watching you make progress on your Tim, I mean, watching Tim make progress on you... Depends which way the innuendo is flying that day! More Timota Supra? He's wonderful, and I know how much more productive and fun a car day can be with a friend. It's fantastic to see the progress, but also to see your joy in doing all this. You sounded even happier than usual. I love that. I also love that you can be happy even if something isn't perfect, because you have tolerance and you know it's gonna be fun regardless. I wish you could bottle your enthusiasm and positivity, I'd take a truckload. Absolutely love your videos and your genuine, honest, lovely personality. Thanks so much for this one!
